Just learned that Carlos Beltran was named NL league player of the week. He had such a hot streak of hitting. For the last week he had hit 6 home runs, 13 rbi's and a slugging percentage of 1.200. Congrats to Carlos! The Cards are giving him a night off tonight with Allen Craig playing right field.
Today the Cardinals had brought up Eduardo Sanchez from their AAA team Memphis to try and improve their bullpen. To make room the Cardinals released J C Romero. J C has been struggling a lot in the past week.
